West Cornwall Golf Club is probably one of the finest links courses in Cornwall. The course was established in 1889, making it the oldest Golf club in the Duchy and one that has won much acclaim. Peter Alliss is an honorary life member who always speaks very highly of the course and the warm welcome all can expect to receive.
The course has a magnificent setting and has been moulded around the natural contours of the sand dunes that form part of the Hayle Estuary and Porth Kidney Sands. There are panoramic views from almost every hole with St. Ives Bay and Godrevy Lighthouse forming a memorable backdrop to this gem of a links.
West Cornwall is nearly always played in conditions that can range from a light breeze to a strong wind and is a true test of golf for golfers of all abilities. The course has undergone many improvements in recent years under the watchful eye of our Head Green keeper and his team.
Thanks to its sand base the drainage of the course is excellent and allows it to be played all year round with no winter tees or greens.
Visitors and societies are made more than welcome with discounted green fees and packages to include breakfast, lunch and dinner available.
A well equipped Pro Shop near the first tee and a vibrant, forward-thinking and family-friendly golf academy are integral parts of the Club.
A welcoming, ambient bar allow members and visitors alike a pleasant experience. The restaurant can also cater for anything from bar snacks to a-la carte.
There is plenty of new gear to try in 2012. Have you seen the latest TaylorMade drivers? Or the new range of Ping irons? Please click 'more' for details.
