A long par 3, where the flag is in full view but the green partially hidden, makes club selection difficult. Often played with a wood or long iron it's often better to aim slightly to the right of the flag as the green drops away sharply to the left. Only the best shots will find and hold this green, thus a par 3 is a good score.
